Last Friday when I mentioned that we were having a hectic week I feel like I was jinxing ourselves. Was anybody else hit by Sandy? Our families all live on the East Coast, from NC to NJ, so it’s been a whirlwind for us, to say the least. We were fortunate enough to avoid any damage, but our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected.
In addition to that, we just celebrated Halloween! One of my favorite holidays of the year. Here are my little darlings dressed up in their peacock costumes:
Due to the fact that we so rarely consume high fructose corn syrup and artificial dyes, I don’t feel completely terrible letting my kids have a treat every now and then.
Or are you looking for other things to do with your candy? How about candy experiments? Do you do anything “clever” with your candy to avoid letting your kids indulge in their trick-or-treating goodies? I posed that same question on Facebook, here are what some of you had to say.
All of my favorite sites can be found on our Pinterest boards as well. Here is the link for the current review.
*Just a reminder that the following photographs and links take you to other sites, the words and pictures are not my own, nor am I claiming them to be. I use them here because I know once you see how amazing the recipes look you’ll want to check out the subsequent pages!
