Hello Homegrown & Healthy blog friends!
It’s Amy over from Delineate Your Dwelling. I’m so excited to be able to share with you my “Straw Holiday Wreath”. This is the most inexpensive and easy crafts ever to dress up your home for the upcoming Winter season.
This project is so simple. First I gathered my supplies.
I cut a small wreath shape out of an old cardboard box using my x-acto knife.
Then, I gathered up all my “holiday” colored paper straws. (I’ve got a small paper straw obsession thing going on. The hubs is like, NO MORE paper straws in this house!)
Then, I started gluing my straws to the cardboard cutout. I glued them in a numerical clock pattern, so my spacing would more or less be even.
After I had the first gray, black + white and green straws glued down, I added a red and soft orange layer on top. I cut those straws in half to give the wreath more dimension.
After the wreath was completed, I cut out some green felt into leaves and glued them and some simple flowers to the wreath.
This entire project took me only an evening to complete and in total cost about $10.00 for all the supplies. (I got most of the straws on sale for $1.50 and the flowers came in a pack for about $2.50 all at Hobby Lobby.) You can’t beat that!
Thanks for checking out this simple DIY Straw Wreath! Be sure to check out some of the other fun crafty Holiday projects I have in store this winter season at Delineate Your Dwelling.
