Hi, I’m Nina. I’m a wife, mom of four and natural wellness coach. I’ve spent countless hours researching, studying, and synthesizing the best of what natural wellness has to offer today’s families (in a way that’s simple and sustainable).
The mamas I help are passionate about taking care of their families as best they can. They do more research than the average mom and seek alternatives because of it. They proactively prevent illness, rather than passively reacting to it. They invest in the tools that work because they know they’ll lead to long-term savings.
They trust their intuition because they know their families better than anyone.
I help moms and families to increase wellness in their homes with simple, step-by-step, holistic methods. I empower parents to use natural, safe solutions for their family’s healthcare and create a wellness lifestyle that is unique to them.
Nina sounds like the kind of woman you’d like to know, right? She blogs over at Shalom Mama and I just wanted to introduce you two before I go into the rest of this post, because I think she’s great and I know you will too.
Not only am I a big fan of her site, but I’m a big fan of her newest Ebook, Simple Natural Health. It’s the kind of guide that I can get into, with a focus on eating healthy but being balanced. You won’t find extreme hard-to-keep-up suggestions from her, but simple, straightforward, and easy to relate to ideas for living well.
Are you vegan? Paleo? Raw? Vegetarian? Some health food bloggers want you to pick a side, but that’s not what her book is about, and I love that!
…Whether we eat meat or not, cook our food or eat it raw, I think that if we eat lots of fresh produce, healthy fats, quality protein, minimal natural sweetners and food as close to its natural state as possible, then we’re on the right track. (Page 14, “Defining the Rules“)
And also, like this site, her book discusses a lot. Diet and nutrition (along with meal planning and budgeting) is just one facet of it.
She has a whole chapter on Simple Herbal Medicine, with the following categories:
- Herbal Intro
- What is Herbal Medicine?
- Selecting Herbs
- Preparing Herbs
- Building Your Herbal Medicine Chest
- My Favorite Herbs
- Herbal Recipes
