Simple Natural Health: A review and a giveaway

Have you all met Nina yet?

Hi, I’m Nina. I’m a wife, mom of four and natural wellness coach. I’ve spent countless hours researching, studying, and synthesizing the best of what natural wellness has to offer today’s families (in a way that’s simple and sustainable).

The mamas I help are passionate about taking care of their families as best they can. They do more research than the average mom and seek alternatives because of it. They proactively prevent illness, rather than passively reacting to it. They invest in the tools that work because they know they’ll lead to long-term savings.

They trust their intuition because they know their families better than anyone.

I help moms and families to increase wellness in their homes with simple, step-by-step, holistic methods. I empower parents to use natural, safe solutions for their family’s healthcare and create a wellness lifestyle that is unique to them.

Nina sounds like the kind of woman you’d like to know, right? She blogs over at Shalom Mama and I just wanted to introduce you two before I go into the rest of this post, because I think she’s great and I know you will too.

Simple Natural Health

Not only am I a big fan of her site, but I’m a big fan of her newest Ebook, Simple Natural Health. It’s the kind of guide that I can get into, with a focus on eating healthy but being balanced. You won’t find extreme hard-to-keep-up suggestions from her, but simple, straightforward, and easy to relate to ideas for living well.

A holistic approach to health – mind, body and soul – with a lot of money and time saving tips thrown in. You’ll love the comprehensive guide to using herbs and my tips for saving money on nourishing whole foods.

Are you vegan? Paleo? Raw? Vegetarian? Some health food bloggers want you to pick a side, but that’s not what her book is about, and I love that!

…Whether we eat meat or not, cook our food or eat it raw, I think that if we eat lots of fresh produce, healthy fats, quality protein, minimal natural sweetners and food as close to its natural state as possible, then we’re on the right track. (Page 14, “Defining the Rules“)

And also, like this site, her book discusses a lot. Diet and nutrition (along with meal planning and budgeting) is just one facet of it.

I would like to win this book because I like Nina’s site and I could use help with meal planning and gaining more information on how to use herbs in my life. I love to cook simple, nutritious meals for my family, but sometimes I run out of new ideas. Inspiration is always welcomed!

Always enthusiastic to learn more, because I am all about healthy living, eating, and being frugal! That’s how I came across Nina’s site and FB Page, and so far have been reading on it daily! I’d love to win anything that will help me! I have health issues and can’t afford to see various doctors, not that I’d want to. The ones that I’ve seen can’t figure it out and only give me more mess to take. I feel like doing things the Natural way will help if not completely fix the issues. As the saying goes….I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired!

This is amazing! Nina was the first online health and wellness warrior that I stumbled across on my journey to find health, simplicity, and peace. Given her top quality, expert advice I can imagine that every household should own a copy of this book.

My family and I would be ecstatic to win this free copy of Simple Natural Health. I imagine that if we win, we would utilize the info and recipes to not only continue to move our health in the right direction, but we would pay it forward and make all sort of healthy goodies to give away to friends and family.

I would love a copy of this book to take with me to Africa. I’m moving there in a few months and will not have the same access to medical care as we do here. So it would be great to have some resources to help me stay healthy and strong naturally.

I would love to learn more about herbs. When I was younger I always saw people go to my great grandmothers house for help when they were sick. They would tell her what was wrong & she would go to her herb garden & help them on their pathway to healing. She lived to be 104 & I was 19 when she passed. I wish I was able to learn from her. We lived in different towns & I was so young. But when I visited her house , a lot of people came by for help. Everyone in town knew her & I want to learn more about what God has naturally given to us to help us heal & feel better. This would be a great start! Thank you! :)

I am interested in getting that e-book because that chocolate mint body butter recipe looks awesome and I can only dream of what other recipes lie within those pages! My wife and I will be making this recipe soon.
