How is your summer veggie garden coming along?
If you’re already planning a fall (or next Spring’s?) garden, then here’s a simple tutorial on how to build your own raised beds. Pin it for later if you need to!
The boxes I made are 4×8 and 10″ deep. I used 2″x8′x10″ boards for the sides and 4×4 posts that I cut to 16″ in length. Make sure you use untreated lumber so that none of the chemicals leach into the soil. To keep it simple, I just cut the 8′ boards in half to make the 4′ end pieces.
Obviously you’ll need a saw to cut the end boards and 4×4′s to the desired length. I also used 4″ inch deck screws and the only other tool you need in order to assemble the frames is a drill.
Attach the 8′ pieces to the 4×4′s first.
Repeat at both ends before continuing onto the end pieces
Next, attach the end pieces
