We’re officially starting with the holiday decorating. But.. let’s be honest. As sophisticated, naturally-minded minimalist adults sometimes the snowmen pillows can get a little much, amiright?
So I started working on a winter-themed pillow that’s super easy but it’s classy and lends a festive touch to the season.
What you need:
- A stencil (I used this branching out tree stencil from DecoArt)
- Fabric paint (I used the white SoSoft fabric acrylic from DecoArt)
- Brushes (a large and small)
- A travel pillowcase (I slipped this on top of my regular couch pillows, but you can also just use a travel pillow in it!)
Gather your supplies.
Lay out your pillowcase. *cough iron it cough*
Mentally take yourself back to elementary school and go to work on that stencil. I taped the corners down because I knew I would need several coats and wanted everything lined up right.
And don’t forget to stuff your pillowcase! Put paper, cardboard or plastic so that the paint doesn’t soak through to the back.
And just.. dabble on the paint. It doesn’t have to be perfect, you can always go back and touch up spots later.
Work out the kinks, add a few adornments…
And there you go!
Super classy and perfect for the holidays.Google+
