Well, today upon waking at a super-early, 5 am, I also had the luxury of waking to a good 5-6 inches of snow. My husband had to leave home at 5:30 am for work. This means FR-EAK-ING OUT for me. My husband is out driving across the highland here, in Northwestern Montana, people. In a freaking snow storm. In the dark. Not only does he have to drive it to and fro one time, but he has to drive it again tomorrow. This has had me freaking out all day. On edge and anxious. All day. I wanted to call up his boss and ring him a new one. Why would you expect someone to drive through that mess in a tiny little Ford Focus? I mean, really? That is my husband out there. The father of our children, for God sake!
Not only have I been freaking out over the malignant driving conditions that my husband is having to maneuver through today, I have been fighting off a cold. This past weekend our family was away from home (aka: very little to no sleep for the boys and mom) for a family gathering. My husband’s grandfather turned 90, to be more specific. Anywho, this cold has been sitting around inside just waiting for an escape. Well, today was the day. I have been drinking tons (I mean — TONS) of water, Ginger tea and last but not least… a drink that I will be sharing with you…
My Very Own Tomato Juice
This stuff is bomb! Super powerful and full of the right nutrients that will get you breathing and feeling well again, in no time!

- 1 – 8oz can of all natural tomato sauce
- 1 – 8oz cup of water
- 1 – 4oz jar of all natural carrot baby food
- a dash (or 2) of hot sauce (I use Tapatio)
- a dash of celery seeds (or celery salt)
- a dash of garlic powder
- Mix all ingredients well and heat well. Drink this hot within 15 minutes and you will notice an immediate uplift.
Cheers — to tackling that nasty cold!

That is interesting…it is like making V-8 juice almost. I never thought to do that with pre-canned tomatoes. Definitely a good idea!
Hey, thanks! The interesting part about this is that I’ve never had V-8 juice. Is it very thick? I love the thickness of this recipe. It’s more like a tomato soup in a glass.
