This post is brought to you by Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes, who asked us to share our creative lunch time solutions. Read on to see what we came up with (plus a chance to enter their big giveaway!). As always, all opinions are my own. Enjoy!
The age difference between my two girls is 8 years; my oldest daughter is starting 8th grade, and for a few years now she’s been making her own lunches. I kind of feel like I’m starting all over again trying to figure out this lunch-packing thing.
I think that Kindergarten is an especially difficult age to pack lunch for because, for many of us, our kids are used to being home with us and eating whenever they’re hungry, not at a designated lunch time. I’m a little worried about her getting enough to eat and adapting to a new schedule.
Luckily, it can be a lot of fun getting creative with lunches. Our family loves to be in the kitchen together and when I involve my kids in the cooking they have a lot of input in the final product, so we end up with something that everyone actually wants to eat. That means that snacks like this turn out extra fun.
We came up with this mulled apple dip a few years ago. Something about the weather changing and a bounty of fresh apples makes me long for warm spices like cinnamon and clove. This dip combines those elements into a creamy blend that’s perfect for dipping fruit!
Are you trying to come up with creative lunch solutions, too? Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes are asking you all to join in on the fun!
