Happy Monday everyone! And for our friends in the US, did you have a great Fourth of July? Our weekend was pretty magical, albeit busy. My oldest daughter is out of town with friends, but I got to spend a lot of time BBQing and lighting fireworks with these two amazing cuties:
I’ve been kind of laying low for the past week, my husbands been working nonstop (literally) and so I’ve been on 24/7 mom duty. Oh, and chicken duty– we’ve finally added a few chickens to our flock (we’re currently up to 4 chickens and 4 guineas). Oh, and garden duty– I harvested our first couple zucchini already and a cucumber (which Colette promptly ate, she’s a cucumber fiend.)
Suffice to say, I’ll find more time to sit down in front of the computer when this beauuuuuuuutiful Spring-weather-in-the-summer has past, but for now there’s just so much to do.
Here’s one more pic. Can you blame me for slacking off lately?!
Anyway, here’s someone who hasn’t been slacking lately: Our featured pick of the week is from Simply Stacie and her post on Bruschetta Chicken Pasta Salad. I’m 100% certain that I will be bringing this to our next potluck! Homemade Mondays is a series for people that are on a journey to better living, via healthier eating and a more natural lifestyle. We realize that there are different paths that we all take to get to that place, and this bloghop celebrates that. Whether you’re a seasoned raw foodist who has banned all things unnatural, or a rookie who is starting out by cutting out junk food, we’d love to hear from you! Link up with your favorite recipes, projects, crafts, or rants and raves.
