As I’m writing this, we are finishing up our last week of summer vacation! Colette just celebrated her birthday, we wrapped up back to school shopping and in just a few days I’ll have only one child at home with me during the day.
I’m not one of those mothers that is crazy about her kids being away, but I am happy for them because they’re so excited to be back at school and with their friends. The one thing that I do look forward to is getting back onto my little routine. I use that term routine lightly because despite my best intentions, I never seem to be able to make the time to get everything done that I hope to.
For example, I love sitting down first thing in the morning to a hot, freshly brewed cup of tea! Especially during these fall days when the mornings are brisk and I can just start the day off at my own pace.
Sometimes I only get a few sips in my favorite drink before I get distracted by the toddler and then we’re off doing something else. So for these days I’ve come with a solution that lets me enjoy my tea hot first thing in the morning, and then enjoy it throughout the rest of the day in a cooled-down version! Tazo® Tea is recommending that you #SipJoyfully all through the day, and with their delicious blends like Zen™, Awake™ English Breakfast and Passion®, I have to agree with them on that! Today I wanted to share with you a fun way that I’m celebrating the exciting and unique blends of Tazo’s delicious teas. When we’re on the go and I want something refreshing to drink, I don’t always have the time to stop and brew a cup of tea. So I came up with a way to enjoy the Zen tea (a harmonious blend of green tea with lemongrass & spearmint) even when I don’t have a stove nearby! I call it my Midday Mojito– it’s totally nonalcoholic (although you could adapt this to an evening mojito pretty easily!) At Tazo, tea is a celebration of flavor and aroma that adds a little excitement to your day. They focus their teas around taste, crafting them with exhilarating, unexpected flavor blends that delight the senses. With Tazo, you don’t just sip, you Sip Joyfully. And these midday mojitos are the perfect example of this! By making the tea ahead of time and cooking it into a syrup, you can easily add this to sparkling water any time of day and create your own yummy drink that’s totally unique.
