Remember my crudite post where I warned you that I had mandolin madness? Mwa ha ha! Here’s another example of this, stemming from my little obsession with making a fun alternative to potato chips. I’ve been experimenting with both round chips and these little fry shapes, and I was originally going to add these to my crudite cups so these are the ones that I’ve photographed.
Who says you need to stick with just plain potatoes, anyway? In the picture I made sweet potato snackers and regular red and white potatoes.
There are other vegetables which supposedly bake well into chips, but I haven’t tried them yet. Carrots, beets, kale, taro, and squash are all on my to-do list.Â Have you tried using any of these before? Let me know how your experiments went! I definitely plan on giving those a try, and next time I post about it I’ll try to include some good spice combinations to use with them.
