The other day I had the pleasure of hanging out with my husband and some of his employees at our house. As is typically the case, the conversation quickly turned work related, and I listened in as the guys hammered on about drill bits and ceiling grids. Somewhat sheepishly, one of the guys turned to me and asked, “Is this what you and your friends do when you get together? Do you brag about new tools that you get?”
The truth is, my friends and I do get a little giddy talking about new things that we find that make our lives easier.
I don’t want to paint a picture that we’re all quintessential 50’s housewives who have nothing to discuss beyond domestic duties, but.. well.. I did kind of brag the other day about the best mop and floor cleaner, ever.
It’s fun to find new ways to do every day tasks, so I’m always open to finding ways to change up our cleaning routine. Plus, having a baby crawling around is a very important motivator to me for keeping chemicals off of the floor!
When I found the O Cedar ProMist® Microfiber Spray Mop I combined it with one of my favorite new floor cleaning solutions (Y’all might remember the Grapefruit Floor Cleaner from a years back, that one was super popular and would work well with this) and then I got all braggy to my friends about it.
I used Citrus Fresh (which contains Orange, tangerine, mandarin, grapefruit, lemon, and spearmint) and a few drops of Peppermint for a combination that’s both antibacterial and invigorating + vinegar + water.
The mop does that thing where it squirts the solution onto the floor. It’s easy enough to use that I can hold a baby in one arm and use this with my other, and for me it’s all about being easy! When you’re done, simply let the floor air dry, toss the reusable pad in the washing machine and you are good to go.
No chemicals left behind for the baby to crawl around in but the oils do leave a refreshing scent. And best of all, you can find this anywhere! We got ours in Walmart in the cleaning aisle.
