Muffins are quite literally the best and most versatile baked goods out there. Let’s analyze this for a moment, shall we?
Firstly, muffins can be either sweet or savory. They’re good eaten for breakfast, lunch, as a side dish with dinner, as a dessert, or even a snack. Versatile, no? Further, muffins can be made either healthy or sinfully not. Muffins mean you can hide veggies in a tasty, creative way and easily and successfully feed them to unsuspecting children. Adding fruit is another way to healthify muffins; over ripened bananas or apples with wrinkly skin are my favorite additions.
Muffins can be glazed or eaten plain. They can be made with a crunchy streusal topping or a simple dusting of cinnamon and sugar will do the trick nicely.
To me, these muffins are just like digging into a bite-sized pizza. I think that’s thanks to the oregano that’s used. Play around with the fillings if you’d like; mushrooms, tomatoes and onions would taste just wonderful I think.
