The second auric layer is associated with our feelings about ourselves. It is sometimes called the Emotional Body.
When it is balanced and clear, we enjoy our own company. We feel comfortable with who we are and the feelings about ourselves easily ebb and flow. To care for the second auric layer, we must be honest with ourselves about how we are feeling. We must claim and clear guilt, shame and fear. We must allow happiness and joy.
If you simply don’t have many feelings about yourself, chances are your energy is stagnant or your field is undercharged. If you don’t like yourself, your field is charged and blocked. Unblocking the field will create a flow of feelings. At first it might feel overwhelming or relieving.
It’s not so much of a question about loving yourself as treating yourself in a loving manner. When you make a mistake do you berate yourself? When you engage in behavior which you are not proud of, do you easily forgive yourself? Do you treat yourself as well as you would a dear friend?
To assess the health of your second auric layer, you might ask:
Which parts of myself do I dislike? Why?
I hate ________ because it is __________.
What part of myself do I reject? If I could change part of myself, which part would I change and why?
The second auric layer is described as multi-colored clouds surrounding the body. It may extend to about 2 inches beyond the physical body.
