Expanding your boundaries.. and no, I’m not talking about the waistlines around the holidays.
I am speaking more about putting yourself in more uncomfortable situations deliberately to expand yourself as a person. This doesn’t have to be dramatic, like cliff diving if you can’t stand heights. I am just saying to expand your knowledge of something maybe you didn’t understand before. This can show where our fear lies within ourselves, but also where we need to overcome our fears. To be able to stand up and face those fears to expand our knowledge about something uncomfortable before will help us hopefully to become better human beings.
It may be that thing that opens ourselves up to receive that thing that brings us out of anxiety if you feel anxious, or face that demon of the fear of failure, because that one thing you try will be the one thing that will be your greatest achievement. Or opening up just by speaking out in public may be that one time you speak to someone that needs to hear what you have to say that one time because it stops them from committing suicide.
There are many reasons to step out and expand those boundaries one might have. Everyone has insecurities, but do not let that stop you from expanding yourself and trying new things.
