80% of women who used the phrase ‘I don’t eat that’
were able to resist foods not on their plan,
while only 10% who said ‘I can’t eat it’ were successful in avoiding temptation

It’s helpful to remember that everything has energetic properties.
You may be familiar with the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto who showed that words affect the crystal structure of water.
Did you know that our bodies are predominantly water? Up to 60% of the human body is water, the brain is composed of 70% water, and the lungs are nearly 90% water.*
Using appropriate words is not just a game in positivity. It’s the difference between wild success and unsuccessful. It’s something our bodies feel – because words effect water, they effect our vibration.
The energy of “I don’t eat that” keeps the power in alignment with your higher self. You are making a choice and claiming ownership of your choice.
“I can’t” means someone else is dictating what you should or should not eat. It’s normal to resist that and, at times, rebel. (You know when you sit down to have one cookie and suddenly half the package is gone? That’s rebellion.)
- Notice what words you tell yourself when making food choices.
- Whose tone of voice do you hear?
- How does it feel in your body and where do you feel it?
(Be honest. “Sure, eat the whole pint of ice cream” doesn’t really feel good. The child in you might think it sounds good…and that’s a great time to ask yourself what you really want right now. It’s probably love more than ice cream.)
What we feed our energetic bodies, and how we feed them, is just as important as feeding our physical body.
