I have a love hate relationship with baking. On the one hand, I really love eating fresh bread. I remember spending hours in the kitchen, kneading and leavening, following lengthy directions from my favorite Bread Bible.
These days though, I just don’t have time for that. (Or patience, not to mention counter space.) I’m on a constant quest to tweak recipes so that I can get the most benefit from the least amount of time, work and money.

My main recommendation is to make sure you mix the water, yeast and sweetener first and allow it to get all frothy (just like when we make pizza dough) before adding the other ingredients. After that you just let the bread machine do the work!
