The other day me and my mini chef buckled down to start making some holiday magic. And I gotta tell ya.. these cookies came out really, really good. Like, “better hide the cookie jar because these won’t last” and “I think I just overdid it and ate five of these in one sitting” good. We chose Dove® Dark Chocolates because my girls don’t typically like dark chocolate, and I think that Dove does a good job of avoiding that bitter taste. Instead, these chocolates are smooth, creamy, rich and delicious. Plus, they just sit so perfectly on top of the cookie. It’s like each little cookie is its own advertisement. They’re just so cute! Not to mention easy. And when you’re baking with a three year old, easy is kind of a big deal. Melt the chocolate, mix the dough. Roll it out (no measuring required, that’s my kinda cookie!). Smoosh it out and add a chocolate = the perfect tasks for eager little helpers. Seriously. cute. Right?! Pop it in the oven for ten minutes. PS: Here’s a little “didja know”: If you pick up a bag of DOVE® Dark Chocolate, you’ll notice a “little green frog seal” on each package. This seal means that DOVE® sources 100% of its cocoa for its Dark Chocolate products from Rainforest Alliance Certified Farms. Rainforest Alliance Certified farms meet several environmental and labor standards, which is good for the environment and cocoa farmers around the world. Oh, so rich and gooey, fresh from the oven! I seriously had to take a break from typing this to eat a cookie. I’m kind of obsessed. (Let’s just blame it on being pregnant, mmkay?) I got this recipe from BrightIdeas.com, and I think if you’re looking for a little holiday decadence then you’ll want to check it out too.
