I was so excited that as the Idaho Bloggers’ Guild we visited Cut It Out. It was soo much fun. I loved all the wonderfully whimsical frames. Plus, the owner who showed us around was so nice and very customer service oriented! I love this fun Inspiring Quote Frame Tutorial with free printables that I made using one of their gorgeous frames.
There were just frames everywhere. In all shapes and sizes. Literally, want something huge? They can hook you up. Like a big frame for your Justin Bieber poster or just that adorable family snapshot you had blown up.
Paint em. Mod Podge em. Stack em. Stain em. Hang em. Love em.
Start with your naked frame.
Paint it whatever color tickles your fancy. I am hanging mine on a steel gray/bluish wall, so I wanted it to be white so it would pop. I painted it with 4-5 coats to completely covered with the white paint.
I used sandpaper to rough up these adorable edges and some of the paint.
Use some stain on a towel and rub it over the frame front and edges to give it a more shabby chic pop.
Wrap with a little baker’s twine, tie a bow and your frame is set.
Now just to add some inspiration.
My inspiration for this project: At work on my desk there has been this little box that has quotes with little mini paintings on them. There are a ton to choose from so you can change it up. Reading these quotes helped me get through the day sometimes. It reminded me to be nice to the customers and co-workers, and know that I could tackle whatever came my way.
So I found my own inspiration in the words those wiser than I (which is most of you). I hope they inspire you too. I have included the prints for a 5×7 frame at the end of this post. Or make your own. I embellished mine with stripes, polka dots, and boarders.
Then print on to a light colored patterned paper or solid card stock. Display where you need inspiration the most. Then know that you can handle any bumps in the road.
Stick all the extra quotes in the back of the frame. You will always know where they are at and not lose any of them. Switch them as often as you like or whenever you need a little inspiration.
Humor me here as I show you how much I loved this project.
Didn’t you know that humans are so wonderful? We all have so many talents and creativity. Even if you don’t think you do, in some way you are creative. Embrace it!
