It’s funny how much punctuation and inflection changes a simple sentence. For example, you might look at the clock in distress and realize “it’s dinner time?!” when you haven’t even given thought to what you’re going to be cooking yet. Or when you’re busy and your kids come up to you whining, “it’s dinner tiiiiiime”. Or when you’ve got everything prepped and ready to go and you’re like “heck yeah, it’s dinner time!” and you’re super excited because everything you need for a healthy, delicious and satisfying dinner that everyone will eat, and it’s prepped and ready to go in the oven and you’re super woman.
Realistically, in our house, that last one occurs much less often than the first two do.
So when I was given the opportunity to check out the meal kits from Dinner Thyme I jumped all over it. Because this is the kind of “it’s dinner time” exclamation that comes when you’re actually excited about your meal!
I have a lot to say about my experience, starting with the menu. It was so hard to choose which meals we wanted to try because every single one sounded delicious to me, and even more rare was that there were so many that sounded like things my whole family would eat. (Can you tell that’s a big struggle for me right now?) Check out their weekly menu here, but I’ll show you the meals that were included in my box.
Probably the hardest step is deciding what you actually want to pick from so many great options 😉 After that, it’s seriously easy. Everything comes portioned, packaged, and clearly labeled. Here are the contents of mine:
The instructions are about as simple as they can be:
This dish was for Baked Salmon, on a puff pastry, served with tomatoes and pesto and topped with almonds. I didn’t actually get to taste this because my kids devoured it, which is saying a lot, don’t you think?
At least they let me take some pretty photos first.
Okay, then we had these pork tacos.
Then this baked chicken, with a side of linguini and topped with capers and a cream sauce, and tomatoes.
So if you’re looking for a meal kit that offers some seriously delicious options, while making it quick and simple for you to get dinner on the table, I definitely recommend you check out Dinner Thyme! You can also follow them on social media using @TeamDinnerThyme. Bon Apetite!
