The silent healer. The desert lily. The elixir of Jerusalem. The plant of immortality. Those are just a few of the titles aloe has received over the years around the world. Aloe has been used as herbal medicine dating as far back as 5,000 years to ancient Egyptian times, and I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Superleaf, an company that sells an Aloe beverage. I opened the first bottle, a little skeptical about how it would taste. Lo and behold, it actually delicious! So, what’s the big deal about aloe water? SuperLeaf is putting out a line of Detox Water and because I enjoyed it so much I wanted to share with you an opportunity to get involved. They are launching a kickstarter campaign. Click on over to read more about what they’re trying to do and, if you feel so inclined, donate a few bucks to help them get it launched!
My name is Aubrey and I am a proud wife and mother three. The combination of buying our home (as in, we have our own yard!) and our second baby (as in, homemade baby food!) created a catalyst that provoked my interest in gardening. In researching this hobby I came across information that really made me question mainstream food. The chemicals and preservatives alone made the mother in me cringe, not to mention what the chef in me thought about the difference in taste. Please join me and my family as we discover recipes and explore the outdoors in our attempt to reconnect with nature.
