Its here, yall. It’s 2015! and I’m telling you, this is the year!
We’ve talked about New Years Resolutions already, I know it’s on many minds this month. As moms so many of us are struggling to find that balance between taking care of everything around us and taking care of ourselves.
It’s tough; its a daily struggle for me but I’m slowly getting there.
Just like everything else in life, I think the secret lies in eating good food. And I don’t just mean good as in healthy, plant based, nutrient dense foods (those are important!) but I also mean good as in, you know, delicious.
Good as in, you don’t want to put the spoon down until you have just onnnnne more bite.
You see, when you put all of the right things into your body it blooms.
And I hope I don’t sound too cocky, but this dairy-free rice pudding involves all of the right things to make you bloom.
First, we start with Silk Vanilla Almondmilk. I suspect by now you already know how much I love the Silk brand. They are proudly verified by the Non-GMO Project, gluten free, no high fructose corn syrup, and they truly seem to care about how to better serve you and your family. Rice pudding is such a favorite in our house, my girls would easily eat it every day if they could! It’s super high in calcium, dairy and gluten free. Making this alternative with almond milk instead of cream makes it a little easier on our tummies and helps us bloom!
Enjoy warm or cold. I recommend a big dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and some thinly sliced almonds to complete the meal! I mean, er, dessert.
