You’d think that after being a parent for 13 years, I’d have this whole parenting thing figured out. And yet EVERY morning I do the breakfast scramble where I try and convince my kids to have “just one bite” of something before they run out of the door. It never seems to work out in my favor.
They’re either too busy or not hungry or not interested in what I’m making.
Except for when there are cookies involved.
And if you’re thinking, “Yeah, Aubrey’s lost it now!” then you’re absolutely correct. But also, these cookies are made with Muesli Mix, so I feel like that makes it a little bit better, right? That’s a breakfast food!
Packed with whole grain rolled oats, wheat, thy, triticale and barely, sweet and chewy dates and raisins, sunflower seeds, almonds and walnuts. Whew, that was a mouthful! (Pun intended).
But seriously, I’m keen on cooking with simple, minimal ingredients so using a premixed Muesli blend (I used Bob’s Red Mill) and you don’t need to empty out your entire pantry to make these cookies!
