Have I mentioned lately how much I love you guys? Because I do. I kinda threw together this recipe this morning and I am head over heels in love with it. But.. the thing is.. well.. I don’t know how to put this delicately so I’ll just come out and say it.
I debated whether it was worth sharing this monstrosity and how well it would go over with you all. You never know until you ask, though, so I did, and the unanimous consent was that no one cares whether their food is “pretty” if it’s healthy (which this is) and it tastes good (which this does).
My photo shoot with these chocolate covered raisins went something like this: throw them on the board, take a picture, review picture, frown and shake my head, eat a raisin, repeat. Over and over again. Until they were almost all gone. I thought about experimenting with other methods of raw chocolate making but I realized that I ate the entire batch of raisins and I don’t even like chocolate, so photos be damned, I’m sharing this.
My chocolate was inspired by this recipe for raw vegan coconut oil chocolate and I modified the ratios a little bit to make more.
The flavor is dark and rich but the the chewy sweet dried fruit inside is what really packs the punch and brings the entire snack together.
PS: Have you tried making your own raisins yet?
