Before spring is in full swing and the warm weather is here to stay, I have one last comforting recipe to share with you today. Typically enjoyed over the cooler months, apple pie is a dessert that’s been enjoyed for hundreds of years.
Let me introduce you to this apple pie.
Caramel Apple Pie, this is blog land.
Blog land, meet Caramel Apple Pie.
This is definitely not your typical apple pie. You see, sticky salted caramel is poured all over your apples, making this apple pie experience one to remember. The apples remain tart and crunchy even when baked, and the caramel that’s been poured over the entire apple pie soak into every nook and cranny, bringing its sweetness and nuttiness along with it into every single bite.
I loved eating this apple pie when it was still hot; however, it’s just as nice when eaten cold and firm. To make this recipe even easier, you could even opt for a premade or a packet-mix crust.
One small tip before baking this pie, though: it’s so full of caramel that the caramel may overflow during baking. Just place a tray covered with foil on the rack underneath the pie to ensure the mess is contained.
