Breakfast at our house is, for lack of a better term, totally cray-cray. I have one child who likes to get up before the sun is up so she has plenty of time to primp. The younger one likes to wake up at the last possible minute, grab a bite to eat and run out the door. The baby gets up whenever he’s accidentally woken up by the other two and he requires a good hour or two of clinging to my leg before he’s ready to start his day.
Honestly, it’s nuts. By the time I get everyone fed and out the door it’s time to start running errands– sometimes if I’m lucky I get a chance to grab a cup of coffee on the way out the door, but it’s not always a guarantee.
My goal is to work on streamlining our mornings so everything isn’t always so go-go-go. I know it’s not good for me, certainly not mentally, but sometimes I forget to even eat breakfast until we’re in the middle of running errands and suddenly I’m starving!
The evidence is clear that your body and mind will suffer unless you have a healthy breakfast each morning, so why are we cutting ourselves short?
You spend six to eight hours sleeping. After that time, your body needs fuel to keep going. Without breakfast at home, your options for on the run nutrition are poor at best, and when you’re trying to eat on the go it can often lead to regretful food choices.
Can you relate to my problems? If so, let’s talk about solutions!
Plentí is taking the oatmeal game to a new level by mixing the texture and goodness of oatmeal with the creamy awesomeness of Greek yogurt. Plentí Oatmeal Meets Greek Yogurt is oatmeal reinvented and brought to the yogurt aisle. It’s especially helpful when you’re on the go because there’s no cooking (and no dirty dishes!) to do. Plus, each cup has 16 grams of whole grain and 11 grams of protein.
It’s a great way to kick off your morning and the perfect solution when you’re suddenly realizing that it’s 11 AM and you haven’t eaten anything yet!
