It was a warm Sunday afternoon and I had just been rudely awoken from my traditional Nana nap. Thanks to the careless slam of a door, my Zzzs had been interrupted, and my eyes decided they didn’t want to close anymore. Rude.
So I started tossing in bed, wondering what to do with the rest of my afternoon. After blog-hopping for a few minutes, my body told me it felt like something banana-y. (In case you’re wondering, food and baking is all I ever think about).
Monkey see, monkey do.
(Get it? Monkeys. Bananas. Ha ha ha. I am so proud of myself).
Y’all may laugh now before I die from embarrassment. Thanks.
Anywaaayyy…. after further searching and thinking, I settled on a banana fudge bar recipe. I had a stack of ripening bananas and I needed my cake fix right.now.
Man oh man, I can’t even begin to describe these banana bars. They’re like a white-chocolate-and-banana version of rich, fudgy brownies. They’re very slightly cakey, but bear more resemblance to fudge. They’re like blondies too – moist, buttery and very sweet.
Oh, I can’t decide. Can you help me out? Make these banana fudge bars, then come back and report to me what you think they remind you the most of. I love hearing from you people.
