Bananas and chocolate go together like a hand and a tailored glove. Or pizza and cheese. You can’t have a pizza without an unhealthy dose of cheese on it, right?
That’s what banana is to chocolate. A match made in heaven.
Speaking of bananas and chocolate, have you ever mashed a banana and swirled Nutella in it, then ate it like that – straight out of the bowl? Yeah I have. And boy, is it goooood.
However, eating mashed up bananas and Nutella isn’t always the most socially accepted thing. Imagine witnessing someone who’s eating spoonfuls of mushy stuff with brown swirls running through it. Yeah, it’s not very visually appealing.
That’s why I have this recipe for y’all today. You can enjoy your banana and chocolate combination in the form of a donut! Much more visually appealing and socially acceptable, right?
Although this batter can be made into donuts, I much prefer them when they’re made in a donut pan. The portions are smaller and besides, donuts are lots of fun to eat! Just make sure not to overmix or overbake them as they can dry out fairly easily. I love eating mine when they’re hot and fresh out of the oven, although popping one in the microwave for a few seconds once they’ve cooled down will return the chocolate to its oozy, gooey state. Yum.
