I love dips. They add flavor and moisture to foods, they’re versatile – meaning you can use them with pretty much anything – and for the most part, they’re healthy! Triple win.
Growing up, the classic Middle Eastern hummus dip was a staple in our household. We’d always have a big container of the stuff in the fridge and were constantly snacking on it. I usually eat mine on its own with bread, but it tastes just as amazing when matched with a steak sandwich made with Turkish bread. Can I get an amen?
Recently though, I’ve enjoyed eating it with crackers and yellow cheese or as a veggie dip. Healthy, tasty, easy.
I decided to alter my classic hummus recipe a little by adding avocado to the dip. Avocadoes are known for their protein and healthy fat content, as well as being rich in Omega-3.
I was surprised at how easy (and cheap!) this avocado hummus dip is to make.
