I don’t feel like we post a lot of controversial things on H&H. But during one of our cloth diapering campaigns my good friend shared this post with us, “5 things I wish I knew about cloth diapers before I started using them“, and you all had a lot to say about it. Some of you were surprised that someone who used cloth diapers would also use disposables.
I love my crunchy options, I really do! But when I’m on the go I appreciate the convenience of not storing dirty diapers on me. I find that these diapers offer much better leakage protection for baby as well (and many other moms are saying the same thing!). I’m also finding that these fit around his waste better while allowing him flexibility.
Let’s talk Mom to Mom, shall we? And I don’t mean the brand. Actually, I kind of mean the brand, since they’re the ones who prompted this entire conversation. But as parents I think we can all agree that our number one priority is keeping our kids happy and healthy.
It’s funny to me how so many of us are just trying to do the best we can while taking shortcuts to maintain our sanity. I can’t even tell you how many candid conversations I’ve had with other moms where they’ve expressed their concerns with not doing enough. Whether you are a die-hard earth loving mama who makes her own cloth wipes and eco-friendly wipe solution or you’re someone who is brand new to these ideas, just know that from one mom to another: you are doing an amazing job.
How about you all? How did you diaper your little ones?
