As you all know by now my family and I are on a grain-free diet. That being said I want to share with you my favorite blogs I use for recipes and inspiration.
First on my list of favorite blogs to follow, Everyday Paleo by Sarah Fragoso. I have been following her since before we switched our eating habits. This woman is a huge inspiration for me. Not only does she create these fantastic delicious paleo recipes, she is a mom of 3 kids and is a strength training coach. She didn’t start out that way either. Sarah worked hard for what she has now, a healthy happy life. This is what I strive for myself. So like I just said, this woman is a HUGE inspiration for me.
This is my one of my family’s favorite recipes for when we need a quick, easy, filling meal: Puerto Rican Beef
Second on my list is Elana’s Pantry by Elana Armstrong. This woman! I swear stumbling upon this blog was the best thing that has ever happened to me. She is a master at grain-free baking. Elana’s blog posts have shown me that it is possible to have scrumptious grain-free goodies.
At first my experiences with grain-free baking turned out to be not so positive. My baked goods just didn’t turn out the way I was expecting them to be. Well of course I was used to using wheat flour and sugar to produce my desserts. Baking with almond meal and coconut flour is a whole new ball game! There are so many tiny little things you must learn about how these two flours interact with the other basic ingredients (and that is a whole other blog post right there!). I am one to use a recipe as a guide line since I have a hold on baking for many years now. BUT this was different. Fail, after fail, after fail, I was fet up! Then I decided to use my brain and follow a recipe for once. I used her revised recipe for German Chocolate Cake (though I did add my own little twist to her recipe) and then it all slowly started to click with me.
I hope you check out more of her recipes because they are AMAZING!!
The third blog on my list is Paleo Parents by Matthew and Stacy. They have so many great tips about how to eat paleo on a low budget. Not only do they give tips they supply recipes, talk about paleo dieting with kids, natural product reviews, personal goals and gains, how Stacy dealt with post-nursing depression and the list goes on and on and on.
I would do the whole last but certainly not least thing but I simply can’t. There are too may great blogs out there so I leave you with multiple links! They are not all only targeting paleo eating. I also included my favorite natural living sites too as well as my favorite Korean recipe site!
Do you have any favorite sites that you want to share with us? Leave a comment with a link so we can check them out as well.
